About me
Deana McGuffin Master Bootmaker
I am a third generation New Mexico master boot maker. My grandfather opened his boot shop in 1917. My father then learned from his father, and in 1981, I began my apprenticeship with my father, L.W. McGuffin.
In 1985, I opened my first boot shop in Clovis, New Mexico. Now residing in Albuquerque, I continue to make what I consider wearable art. After being approached by the new Mexico Arts Division, I began the teaching side of my business. I now offer two types of classes, the Boot Camp Master Class for the professional boot maker and the Boot Retreat for those who want to come in, learn the artistry and come away with a pair of boots.
Drop me a line, and let’s talk about boots!
